In an emergency City Council meeting on March 26, 2020, Levelland City Council passed Resolution 2020-09 declaring a state of disaster for public health emergency for the City of Levelland. Levelland City Council passed Ordinance 1048 which amends the City’s Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan by adding a penalty provision and establishing a penalty of a fine not to exceed $1,000 or up to 180 days in jail for each violation.
