The Patrol Division of the Levelland Police Department has 12 officers. There are four shift Sergeants who supervise two officers on each shift. The City is divided into two districts of which one officer is assigned each day. The Sergeant on each shift roams both districts backing up his patrol officers as needed and making sure the shift is running smoothly.
The officers work 12-hour shifts and rotate from days to nights every six weeks. There is one K-9 officer assigned to patrol and along with his K-9 partner "Reyna" that is utilized as needed for drug interdiction and building searches.
